Antoine Constantin de Prévost
Antoine Constantin de Prévost , born with Lieuvillers (Oise), the July 17th 1788, general French.
It entered at 18 years the elites of the imperial Garde with which it made the countryside of Prussia, and from where it passed in the 15th regiment of hunters with the rank of second lieutenant. Attache little time after to the general Mourier in the capacity as Assistance-of-camp, it followed it in Spain and Portugal. It distinguished with business from Alba from Tormes (November 28th 1809), where he was seriously wounded, while charging square with infantry enemy, and with that of Olta, October 7th 1810, where he was reached of a shot which crossed the chest to him, at the time when he reversed, with the head of a poloton, a detachment of cavalry English E.
Called with the Armed with North, Mr. de Prévost made the Campagne of Russia and deserved the cross of honor on the field of Bataille of Krasnoi; he was moreover, the following year, promoted with the rank of captain and made the countryside of France in 1814.
After the Hundred Days, Mr. de Prévost entered the lancers of the royal Guard to pass successively in the dragons of the Herault and in the hunters of the Morbihan. He made the Campagne of Spain (1823 -24) and obtained the rank of lieutenant-colonel, the Croix of Saint-Ferdinand and that of Saint-Louis. He moreover was named officer of the Légion of honor.
Put in leave pay after the events of 1830, it was soon pointed out, entered the 2nd regiment of hunters, then appointed colonel of the 1st regiment with which it made the Campagne of Belgium.
Mr. de Prévost was created commander in 1838, then Brigadier general, then finally promoted with the Major general rank of the December 7th 1848.
