Antoine Béclère
Antoine Béclère (1856 - 1939), Virologist, Immunologue, was one of the pioneers of the Radiologie.
It could continuation see, in the discovered x-rays by Wilhelm Röntgen, in 1895, the possible applications in Médecine, was made a burning defender of radiology to the international level and set up the teaching of this discipline in France. It created, in 1897, the first laboratory of radiology to the Hôpital Tenon.
The Hôpital Antoine Béclère of Clamart bears this name in homage to that which is regarded as the father of French radiology.
