Antoine-François Momoro

Antoine-François Momoro (Besancon in 1756 - Paris, March 24th 1794) was a Imprimeur, Libraire and revolutionary Politician and French. Important figure of the Club of Cordeliers and the hebertism, one allots to him the paternity of the currency of the French Republic, “ Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité ”.

“First printer of Freedom”

Resulting from an old Spanish family of Franche-Comté, Antoine-François Momoro settles in Paris in the years 1780. Before the French revolution bursts, Momoro is a bookseller as there are some much in the capital. The fall

After having worked with the fall of the Of Gironde in the fight which opposes the commune to convention, it takes part in the attacks against Danton, Robespierre, which it shows of “moderantism”, and the Comité of Public Hello.
