Antoine-Augustin Renouard
Antoine-Augustin Renouard (1765-1853) was a Libraire and Bibliographe French.
Born in Paris, it published from 1792 of the editions of Latin and French works, who were pointed out by their elegance and their correction, and of which several are decorated engravings of Gustave Moreau, Alexandre-Joseph Desenne, Pierre-Paul Prud' hon, etc
Its mark was a anchors surmounted by a Coq.
One also owes him:
- Catalog of the library of an amateur , 1819;
- Yearly of the printing works of the Assistance, or History three Manuce and their editions , 1825;
- Yearly of the printing works of Estienne , 1837 and 1843.
After the Revolution of July 1830, Renouard was mayor of the 11th district of Paris. He is the father of Charles Renouard.
