Antiochos VI Dionysos is the son of the usurper of the throne séleucide of Syria, Alexandre Ier Balas and of Cléopâtre Théa. It is put on the throne towards 145 av . J. -. C. with died of his/her father, killed while fighting against Démétrios II Nicator , by the general Tryphon who opposes Démétrios. Antiochos is only one puppet between the hands of Tryphon which towards 142 av . J-.C physically eliminates it in order to reign in its place before succumbing shortly after in front of Antiochos VII.
