Antiochos Hiérax

Antiochos Hiérax ( the Sparrowhawk ), born towards 263 and died in 226, prince séleucide, is the son of Antiochos II Théos and of Laodice, and the brother of Séleucos II Callinicos .

In 241 it benefits from the military difficulties of his brother vis-a-vis the Lagides to revolt and seize the minor Asia. However it enters in conflict with the king of Pergame, Attale I {{er}}, which seizes the majority of its possessions in 228. Antiochos dies shortly after in 226.
