Antiforme

In Geology, one calls antiforme (opposite: Synforme) a fold formed by a series of sedimentary layers whose Convexité ( i.e. curve) is directed to the top (in form of N ). If the series is normal (younger layers above the older layers), a antiforme is a Anticlinal. If the series is opposite (younger layers below the older layers), one will speak about a synclinal or synclinal antiforme turned over.
