Anticyclone of Bermuda

The anticyclone of Bermuda is a zone of high Atmospheric pressure seasonal placed near the Bermuda, from where its name.

With the subtropical Latitude S (approximately 30°N), through the Atlantic Ocean Northern, exists a transoceanic zone of high pressure, whose center (the Anticyclone) moves seasonally Is in West. During the months of be and Fall, it is centered near the Bermuda. During the Winter and the beginning of the Spring, it is localized close to the the Azores. It is called then anticyclone of the Azores .

Effects

Its effects are felt on the east of the North America. The winds which accompany it, turning clockwise, push hot air and wet on the east of the the United States. That explains the episodes of Canicule prevailing in these sectors several weeks lasting the summer.
