A anticodon is a formed unit of three Nucléotide S which plays a big role in the translation of the ARNm at the time of the Synthèse of the proteins. It is the group of three nucleotides present on the bit of ARNt specifically complementary to the Codon present on the bit of ARNm. This specific complementarity of let us code and anticodons allows to make correspond an Amino-acid to a codon (see genetic Code).
If the codon is 5 ' - AUG-3' then the anticodon is 5 ' - CAU-3' by the principle of Complémentarité of the nitrogenized bases. 5 ' - AUG-3' 3 ' - UAC-5'
There is often also Wobble pairing between the codon and the anticodon, in particular with the Inosine which can be complementary to has, C or U.
