Anti-Slavery International

Anti-Slavery International is a international Governmental organization established with the the United Kingdom, whose principal activity is the Lobby and the Campagne of opinion against the modern Esclavage. It was founded in 1839 under the name British and Foreign Anti-Slavery Society . It is now the British branch of Free the Slaves.

It is made up of three principal teams: the team “Programs” collection information thanks to the partners on the various problems (in particular worst forms of Travail of the children, the Servitude for debts, the Forced labor, the Forced marriage, the Trafic human and forms of traditional slavery), then publishes this information. The team “Communications” publishes teaching and informative works such as the magazine The Reporter , and made pressure near the governments, of the the United Nations and the European Union. The team “Information” deals of the administration, the liftings of funds and publishes an annual report.
