Anthracnose of corn

The anthracnose of the corn is a cryptogamic Maladie which affects the cultures of Maïs. It is due to a mushroom species of the group of the ascomycètes, Colletotrichum graminicola , which appears initially by brown spots on the lower face of the sheets, then which extends in the stems and ends up causing pours it culture.

A wet and rainy climate supports the extension of this disease.

There does not exist chemical treatment against this disease.
