Anthracite

A Anthracite (Of the Greek carbuncle , Άνθραξ, coal) is a Sedimentary rock of organic origin. It is a variety of coal gray, noirâtre and brilliant extracted the mines. It contains 92 to 95% of Carbone.

It is about a Roche very compact and homogeneous with an almost metal glare.

Layer

Anthracite is exclusively in the rocks of the Paléozoïque (Carbonifère and Permien).
