Anthony Hope
Anthony Hope , born on February 9th, 1863 and died in 1933, is a British novelist whose most known work is the Prisoner of Zenda .
Life
Benjamin of a family of Pasteur Anglican, Hope makes his studies of right to the college of Balliol, with Oxford, before coming lawyer. He starts to write news, and ends up giving up his legal career after the success of Mrs Witt' S Widow (1892), but especially of the Prisonnier of Zenda ( Prisoner off Zenda , 1894) of which the decoration, small imaginary kingdom of Ruritania will know an extraordinary fortune and will become the prototype of the kingdom of operetta.Work
