History of the chain
In August 1989, the Socialist government of Felipe González lance the liberalization of Spanish television, hitherto state monopoly. It created three new licenses of emission granted to Antena 3 , Canal+ Spain and Tele 5.The chain starts to emit in September of the same year; it is then the first private channel in Spain. Its regular emissions begin on January 25th 1990.
Following the launching of the Digital terrestrial television (TDT) in Spain on November 30th 2005, each chain analogical was seen allotting two new channels in addition to his. Antena 3 Televisión, S.A. thus launched two new chains: Antena.Neox devoted to the youth and which repeat emissions of Antena 3, and Antena.Nova devoted to the series and Telenovela S.
