Antanas Valionis
Antanas Valionis (born the September 21st 1950) is a Politician Lithuania N, member of the party Naujoji sajunga ( Nouvelle union ).
It was named Foreign Minister the October 30th 2000, reconfirmed on July 5th 2001, then the December 15th 2004.
Valionis directed the Lithuanian delegation for adhesion to the European Union (2001-2004). It chaired the Committee of the Ministers for the the Council of Europe (2001-2002).
Doctor be Science social (political sciences). Ph.D. 1994, University of Warsaw, with a thesis on the transformation of the Lithuanian political system in 1988-1993.
Elected official with the Seimas. From 1994 to 2000, ambassador in Poland (and of 1996 to 2000, ambassador in Bulgaria).
