Antère
Antère or Antéros is the 19th Pape of the Catholic church.
According to the Liber pontificalis , it is of Greek origin . One knows neither his life nor his age when it reaches pontificate. The November 21st 235, it succeeds Pontien which, imprisoned in Sardinia with its large rival Hippolyte, comes to abdicate.
The only fact of this short pontificate - six weeks hardly - was the gathering ordered by Antère of the acts of different the Martyr S.
He dies the January 3rd 236 and he is buried in the Crypte of the Popes of the Catacombe of Saint-Calixte. Its predecessor, Pontien, joined there soon.
