Anselmo Albareda
Mgr Anselmo Maria Albareda is a Spanish Prélat of the Roman Catholic church (February 16th 1892 - July 20th 1966) which was archivist in a monastery Benedictine with Montserrat before becoming prefect of the Bibliothèque of the Vatican (1932-62). He wrote a bibliography on the rules about the Benedictines in 1933 and a Histoire of Montserrat (1931). At the time of the Second world war, it was occupied to safeguard the collections of the many libraries of the Vatican, protecting their enclosure and making sure the respect of these institutions as well by the fascists as by the Nazis. It will be created cardinal by the pope Jean XXIII in 1962
