Anping (Chinese: 安平) is one of the districts of the town of Tainan on the island of Taiwan. The history of Anping goes back to the XVIIe century when the Dutch Company of the Indies Orientales occupied Taoyuan (which gave the current name of Taiwan). During the Japanese occupation, Anping had a very important role for the trade between Japan and China.

Anping was a separate small island of the principal island of Taiwan until the XIXe century. The marine currents brought sand which gradually embanked the arm of ocean between Anping and the principal island. Today Anping is completely integrated into the principal island and the town of Tainan.
