Anoxia

the anoxia is a reduction in the oxygen used by fabrics of the organization. In the majority of the cases it is in connection with an insufficient load of Sang out of oxygen (see Anoxémie). In general, one speaks about anoxia when the Pression partial of the Oxygène in blood is lower than 0,2 bars.

There is tissue suffering, in particular on the level of the cardiac muscle and the Cerveau, especially. The anoxia can exist without anoxemy. The oxygen load of blood is normal but a pathological process (intoxication with the Cyanure S) prevents the use of this oxygen on the level of the cells.

In pedology

This term of anoxia is also used in Pédologie for a total lack of oxygen of a ground.

Water treatment

The anoxia can be caused within processes of Water treatment as that with activated Boue to induce a denitrification by bacteria which use the oxygen of the Nitrate S for their breathing. One transforms this one into Diazote.

Watery ecology and Oceanography

This term also indicates the state of marine or lake water level completely deprived of oxygen. In general, anoxic water and the hydrogen peroxides do not mix and the limit between those constitutes the Chimiocline.

The aquatic environments more restricted and less stable as of the ponds are prone to periods of anoxias, possibly caused by their Eutrophisation.
