Anorexia Nervosa is a group French of Black metal originating in Limoges (High-Vienna) and Nantes (Loire-Atlantique).

Biography

Anorexia Nervosa ( Anorexia nervosa in English) is a French group founded in June 1995 on ashes of Necromancia. Stefan Bayle (guitar), Marc Zabé (guitar), Pier Couquet (low), Nilcas Vant (battery) and Stephan Gerbaud (song) are the original members. Developing a black dark and tortured metal in charge of Gothic and industrial atmosphere, A.N turns with S.U.P. and Opera IX before proposing one 1st demonstration " Nihil Negativum" in October 95. It is sold well (more than 1200 specimens) and makes it possible the group to be pointed out by Michael Berberian de Season off Mist.

Recorded with the LB studio of Stephan Buriez (Loudblast) by Bruno Donini (S.U.P., Scarve, etc) " Exile" 1st conceptual and experimental album is one. The texts based on the neuroses and the refusal of the existence are divided into cycles and sequences. Musicalement A.N proposes an industrial and Gothic metal more and more tortured. Even if it is sold well and made it possible the group to off occur at the sides of Cradle Filth, Absu, Enslaved, Misanthrope, etc, " Exile" remain an album rather difficult of access and prone to controversy since the group crosses thereafter a turbid period of handing-over in question and that some of the fans among young people and most closed remain hermetic with this recording.

Indeed at the beginning of 98 Stephan Gerbaud and Marc Zabé, wishing to proceed in the way of the experimentation, leave the group. During this time A.N forges a personality, starts the construction of its own studio (the famous " Drudenhaus") and recruits new musicians: Neb Xort (keyboards) and Hreidmarr (song/also posts of it in the group of black industrial C.N.K the other group of the guitarist Stefan Bayle). Recorded as a févier the 99 MCD " Sodomizing the Archangel" reveal the new face of the group, a powerful, fast and nervous metal with the nihilist and Wagnerian orchestrations.

Signing at Osmose productions the group turns in support of Immortal before taking again the ways of the studio. In March 2000 " Drudenhaus" their 2nd album reveals a group plus wall and on its choices. To note the participation of Romarik of regretted the Forbidden site which offers the vocal ones to us tortured and French royalists of which it has the secrecy. Anorexia Nervosa is from now on a symphonic group of black. Greeted by the press, the group becomes impossible to circumvent French scene and the quality of their shows in support of Cradle off Filth, Rotting Christ, Agressor or Seth assoit a little more their supremacy.

The following year Anorexia Nervosa inserts the nail with the album " New Obscurantis Order" always for the account of Osmosis productions. Pitilessly square and pros French did not leave anything randomly and this 3rd opus outclasses its predecessors as regards mystical, brutal and symphonic hysteria. With the ray of the guests the experts will recognize Cécile and Elyse, the singers of the group of dark pop Olen' K (of which the 1st MCD was produced in Drudenhaus, hold hold the world is small).

At the end of 2004, Anorexia finishes a cycle with " Redemption Process " who in known as length on the selected direction: that of the redemption. a luminous disc (in particular " the shining") , grandiloquent, of the very melody guitars, the orchestration imposing, while preserving with dimensions the black metal (one will be able to almost speak about fusion between " Drudenhaus" and " New Obscurantis Order " for with dimensions hysterical and martial)

December 20th, 2005, Hreidmarr decided to leave Anorexia Nervosa, the end of a long course for this character who turned Anorexia Nervosa towards his success.

September 18th, 2006, Stefan (the guitarist) announces the setting in " Stand-By" of Anorexia Nervosa, it evokes the needs for the members to be devoted to other activities in order not to shake the integrity of the group.
