Anomaly of Ebstein
The anomaly of Ebstein is a congenital Cardiopathie which is characterized by an abnormal position of the Valve tricuspide: it is positioned much low and approaches the apex of the right Ventricule. It is also abnormal in its constitution with constitution of a tricuspidienne insufficiency. The wall of the ventricle right is sometimes reached. The ventricle right by this displacement is divided into two; a part which merges with the right auricle or atrialized and the purely ventricular part.
In a third of the cases, there exist other cardiac malformations: most frequent are the pulmonary sténose, inter-ventricular Communication, Prolapsus of the mitral valve, Coarctation of the aorta and the right Hypoplasie of the ventricle.
The catch of Lithium would increase the risk by 400 for a basic risk of 1 out of 20.000 births. But of another studies while confirming the increase in the risk do not find it also high.
