Biography

The Anne princess passes her childhood to France, in Morocco and to Belgium at the sides of her parents, the duke and the duchess of Own way. After its marriage with prince Amédée, it leaves food to Italy where it attends with her husband the fascistic mediums. But Anne of Orleans, which is hardly interested in the policy, contrary in his brother, really does not adhere to the ideology mussolinienne, which clearly distinguishes it from his/her mother-in-law, Helene of Orleans, entirely conquered with the duce.

In 1935, the Anne princess contracts a violent disease whereas she visits the Egypt and misses dying in Louqsor. But, whereas one announces already his death in Europe, the princess recovers her forces and cures. Of this test, it however keeps all its life of the after-effects.

After the death of her husband in Kenya during the Second world war, the Anne princess settles in Milan until her death.

In the years 1950, the emperor of Ethiopia Hailé Sélassié seeks to meet the duchess dowager of Aoste as a sign of recognition for the respectful attitude which her husband during the Italian conquest of Ethiopia showed him. But government Italian makes to know with sovereign that he would regard such an interview as an affront and the emperor, who cannot be received by the princess as it wished it, his official visit stops to return in its country.
