Anne de Pérusse of the Bus
The cardinal Anne d' Escars de Givry (1546-1612) was bishop of Lisieux then bishop of Metz.
Born on April 29th, 1546, he is the son of Jacques of Pérusse. lord of the Bus, Juillac and Ségur, and its second wife Francoise of Longwy, girl of Jean IV lord theSoft one.
After studies in Paris, it integrates the order of the Benedictines into the Abbaye of Saint-Benign of Dijon.
Elected official bishop of Lisieux the 1st octrobre 1584, it takes his functions on May 1st, 1585. He is named cardinal on June 5th, 1596 by Clément VIII. He gives up the direction of évêché of Lisieux about 1598.
He is named bishop of Metz on May 23rd, 1608 by the pope Paul V.
He dies on April 19th, 1612 with Vic-on-Pail. He is buried with the Cathédrale Saint-Etienne of Metz.
