Anne Marie Charles of Bourdonnaye

Anne Marie Charles of Bourdonnaye born on February 19th, 1726 in Rennes and deceased on September 10th, 1758 at the time of the Battle of Pondichery. He is the son of Louis Gabriel of Bourdonnaye (1691-1729) and of Francoise Charlotte Ferret of Tymeur (1692-1758).

Lieutenant of the vessels of the King, it was, at the time of the Seven Year old war, in the French squadron of the Count d' Aché. He takes part then in several undecided naval battles vis-a-vis the British squadron of the vice-admiral George Pocock. On board Zodiac, flagship of the Count d' Aché, it is killed at the time of the Bataille of Pondichéry, off the coast Carnatique, on September 10th, 1758.
