Anne-Marie Idrac

Anne-Marie Idrac is a chief of French, old state enterprise elected political, born the July 27th 1951 with Saint-Brieuc (Coast-with Armor), currently president of the SNCF. It is the wife of Francis Idrac, prefect.

Biography

Former student of the Institute of political studies of Paris, and of the National school of administration (promotion Simone Weil), it is, of 1974 with 1995, administrator civil in various stations with the ministries for the Equipment, Housing, the Environment, Town planning and Transport, and managing director of the Public corporation of installation of Cergy-Pontoise of 1990 to 1993.

In 1995, then director of the Surface transports, it is called with the government as a woman resulting from the civil society, at the post of Secretary of State to transport, which it occupies under the two Juppé.Elle governments leads in particular the legislative reform of 1996 which allowed the degearing of the SNCF by the creation of RF, and the experimentation in 5 areas of the decentralization of the regional trains (FOR THE THIRD TIME), generalized in 2001 per Jean-Claude GAYSSOT.

She is elected appointed UDF of the Third district of Yvelines in 1997 and re-elected in 2002, failing vis-a-vis Herve Morin with the presidency of the group UDF with the National Assembly. She also has seat at the district council of Île-de-France (1998-2002) and was general secretary of the New Union for the French Democracy (UDF).

In September 2002, she resigns of her mandates and political offices to assume the presidency of the RATP, on a proposal from the Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin; Christian Blanc (related UDF), which had been one of its predecessors to the RATP, and with which it had concluded fusion Air-France/Air-Inter, succeeded to him the National Assembly.

Its years of mandate to the RATP are remembered in particular by the harmonization programméee financing of the retirements, the launching of the automation of the line 1 of the Parisian subway, the introduction of a contractual service guarantee in the event of strike, and some contracts abroad.

Taken back at this station for a 5 years mandate in July 2004, she resigns of it the July 12th 2006 to succeed Louis Gallois with the head of the SNCF, this last being destined for EADS. She sticks to the development of the lines of TGV with European dimension, with the revival of regional transport, the regeneration of the network for the account of RF, and with the recovery of the situation of freight; she obtained the creation of an autonomous case of retirements of the railwaymen, made necessary by the application to the company of countable standards IFRS. The implementation of the law on the " service minimum" and of the reform project of the special diet of retirements of the railwaymen by harmonization with that of the public office will have to be assured from here the end of 2007. This project on the retirements puts it in first line and reveals it in the media: it must ensure the adaptation of the harmonization programmed the " specificities " the SNCF, in a context of strikes particularly badly felt by the customers of FOR THE THIRD TIME and Transilien, and which blames the beginnings of recovery of the freight activity of the SNCF; she affirms to want to do it by the internal negotiation with the company.
