Anna Göldin
Anna Göldin or Anna Göldi (1734 - 1782) was a maidservant in the canton of Glaris in Suisse. She was the last woman carried out for Sorcellerie in Suisse, the June 18th 1782. She is also probably the penultimate one in Europe: two Polish would have been carried out in 1793 for sorcery. She was rehabilitated in November 2007 by the Grand the Council of the canton of Glaris
The Walter journalist To raise, author of an deliver-investigation on Anna Göldi, estimates that the latter was victim of an arbitrary judgment and estimates that it is time for the authorities of Glaris to recognize the miscarriage of justice. But the request for rehabilitation was refused by the cantonal government and this against the opinion of the Parliament. This rehabilitation also was rejected by the Protestant Church glaronaise, which at the time had taken share with the lawsuit and the execution.
