Anhui

The Anhui (安徽 Pinyin : ānhuī) is a province of China whose chief town is Hefei. Anhui is located in China of the east, around the basins of the river Yangzi Jiang and of the river Huai. Its borders border the provinces of the Jiangsu in the east, of the Zhejiang in south-east, the Jiangxi in the south, the Hubei in south-west, the Henan in the North-West, and of the Shandong on a small section in north.

The name " Anhui" derives from the names of two cities of the south from the province, Anqing and Huizhou (today Huangshan Shi). The abbreviation for the province of Anhui is " Wan" , because there existed historically a State de Wan, a Wan Mount, and a Wan river in the province.
