Anguillule of the roots

The anguillule of the racines' (Meloidogynous spp.) is a parasitic largely widespread in the tropical areas. The roots and the tubers of Igname are attacked by several parasites of this species. The anguillule of the roots, which lives directly in the ground, is able to be introduced into the tender parts of the Tubercule. Its Larve S develops quickly. Only the females are parasitic in the adult phase. They indifferently lay their eggs in the tuber or the surrounding ground. The larvae and the eggs are also maintinnent in the tuber after harvest. The anguillule of the roots causes a deterioration of the tuber of yam, which becomes knotty then and rabougrit frequently.
