Anglo-Spanish war (1654-1660)

The Anglo-Spanish War of 1654 - 1660 is a Guerre between the the Commonwealth of England, under the Protectorate of Oliver Cromwell, and the Spain. It had due their commercial competition .
Although the British seize Jamaica, it do not manage to achieve their goal to conquer the island of Hispaniola.
The Bataille of the Dunes belongs to this war just as of that of the Fronde. The New Model Army was particularly distinguished at the time of this battle.
