Anghiari

Anghiari is a common Italy located in the province of Arezzo in Toscane.

Geography

History

Anghiari is a medieval strengthened village. It devoted two battles to it:
  • one in 1425 when the Florentins were demolished there by the Milanais,
  • the other on June 29th, 1440, the Bataille of Anghiari, also between Florentins and Milanais, who inspired the fresco now disappeared from Léonard de Vinci which was with Florence with the Palazzo Vecchio.

Economy

Anghiari is a center of antiquariat and movable restoration important.

Culture

In the common neighbor of Caprese, today Caprese Michelangelo, was born Michel-Angel ( Michelangelo Buonarotti ), while Sansepolcro, with the bottom of Anghiari, in ValTiberina is the birthplace of Piero della Francesca.
