Angela Nathalie Gossow , born the November 5th 1974 with Cologne, Germany, is a German singer Death melody metal and the vocalist of the Swedish group Arch Enemy.
It is towards adolescence that it starts to be interested in the extreme Metal, thus it is at 16 years that it joined its first group Asmodina.
One period very disturbed by the divorce of his/her parents and their financial troubles is followed from there.
After the college it starts to work as trainee for an advertizing company, thus it specializes in marketing on line. It starts in parallel of academic works in economy. In 1997 it forms a new group of Death metal named Mistress.
It is while starting to work for a musical magazine on line that it will on the occasion to meet the members of Arch Enemy during their round Burning Bridges in 1999 with Bochum in Germany.
It gives a cassette demonstration of Mistress to Christopher Amott, the guitarist of Arch Enemy. The group will listen to this cassette and will be rather surprised by the fact that it controls the technique of the song guttural (typical with the death), and when Johan Liiva leaves the group at the end of 2000 it is quite naturally that Michael Amott (the founder of the group and in addition brother of Christopher) will call upon Angela to replace it.
