Angara

The Angara (in Russian Ангара ) is the name of two rivers of Siberia, in Russia:

  • the High-Angara (in Russian Verkhnyaya Angara ) which is born in the mounts from Nertchinsk, is lost in the Lac Baïkal after a course of approximately 500 kilometers,

  • the Low-Angara or Angara itself which is only the rivère resulting from the lake Baïkal. After having left the lake on the level of Listvyanka, it runs out towards north by sprinkling the towns of Irkoutsk and Bratsk, then is directed towards the west after having received water of the Ilim, and is thrown in the Ienisseï with height of Strelka. Its length is of 1.779 km.
