Andy Starr
Franklin Delano Gulledge , more known under the pseudonym of Andy Starr (born the October 21st 1932 with Combs, Arkansas (the United States) - deceased the September 12th 2003 with Elkins, Arkansas), is a Musicien and American politician .
It makes its beginnings in 1954 for the label Lin. Guitarist, it plays with David Ray Smith & The Strikes . He records Country under the name of Frank Andy Starr And The Rock'n'roll-HAVe-Way-Servant boys as well as pieces of Rockabilly.
After its military service in Korea, Frank works like factor in California, then with the Texas. After a passage to Las Vegas it Marie in 1954 with Wayne Russel. After a show carried out for the station KDSX with Denison, the director of this station sends it to Gainesville to approach there Joe Leonard which will be impressed by its first session in 1955. He interprets in particular four pieces, of which Dig Them Squeaky Shoes and The Dirty Bird Song , under the name of Frankie Starr. There existed however another Frankie Starr with Phoenix from where the name change in Andy Starr . It plans even in 1978 to be presented in the form of a candidate to the presidency of the the United States, for the camp of the Démocrates, then again in 1992, but another politician of the Arkansas (Bill Clinton) charms the high-speed motorboat to him. Andy carries out a last album, Starr Struck in 2002.
He dies at the 71 years age. The famous German label , Bear Family Records put in pressing the majority of its titles.
