Andy Dalton

Andy Dalton , born the November 16th 1951 with Dunedin, is a former player of Rugby to XV New Zealand which played 58 times (including 35 tests matches) for the All-Blacks of 1977 with 1985. It was a talonnor, of 1,78 m and 93 kg.

Biography

Of 1976 with 1982, Dalton represented the island of North. In 1977 it was selected with the All-Blacks for a round in France, which enabled him to dispute its first test match and to gain it.

In 1978 it played three times against the Australia and once against the four British national teams, with final defeat and six victories.

In 1979, it met twice the France (a victory and a defeat) then beat the Australia and the Scotland.

It took the capitanat of Blacks with six recoveries in 1981, then again in 1983 after the retirement of Graham Mourie. Its assessment was overall positive against the Springboks of South Africa (two victories and a defeat), the British Lions (4 victories), the Australia (8 victories and 3 defeats) and the France (six victories and a defeat).

He was captain of Blacks at the time of the world cup 1987 but did not play because of a wound. It put an end to its career of player after this world cup.
