Andry

Andry , of its true name Andrienne de Senarclens born with Meudon on August 15th, 1912 and deceased with Genthod on August 9th, 2006 is a painter Suisse. It left us an important work of tables, engravings and drawings.

After courses at the school of the Art schools of Geneva, she works with the Tovey workshop with Carouge. She presents in 1966 her first exposure to the Gallery Chédel de Nyon where the critic recognizes her talent of painter. Since 1974, Andry starts to work the technique of engraving on copper under the direction of Pierre Sarto in Saint-Prex, then since 1976 she will attend during 10 years the Frélaud-Laconrière workshops with Montmartre. She had during years the councils of her friends Theodore Strawinsky and Spanish maillorcais Jose coll Bardolet.

Andry belongs to the post-impressionist school and admits being inspired by the artist Alberto Giacometti and also by the painters of poetic reality like Maurice Brianchon, Rene Genis and Guy Bardone.
