Andriy Iouchtchenko
Andriy Iouchtchenko (1919 - 1992) was soldier of the Red Army during the Second world war. Prisoner of war, it succeeded in escaping seven times from the prison camps where it was locked up, of which the concentration camps of Dachau and Buchenwald. Interned with the camp of Auschwitz from February to July 1944, it had carried out forced labors of construction.
Returned in its village of Soumy to Ukraine, he married and became professor of English in a school. He dies in 1992.
He is the father of Viktor Iouchtchenko.
