Andrias japonicus

• Distribution: Japan (Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu).

This species of salamander is one of most imposing in the world. Its representatives can weigh 25 kg and to reach a longueure of 1,3 Mr. the sight of this species is weak. The abscence of natural predator makes it possible certain individuals to live more than 80 years.
