Andriamasinavalona

Andriamasinavalona was a king of the Imerina (1675 - 1710).

Andriamasinavalona unifies for the first time Imerina at the beginning of the 18th century. It founds a monarchy which takes account of the opinion of the people and increases the borders of the kingdom which extends in a ray from about thirty kilometers around Tananarive. It divides then its kingdom into four toko (districts) which it entrusts to its sons. With its death, these districts become independent kingdoms, often in war the ones against the others: Tananarive, Ambohidratrimo, Ambohidrabiby and Ambohimanga. These internal wars make it possible the Neighboring states to multiply the raids of oxen and slaves; the disorders disturb agriculture, involving the appearance of famines and catastrophic epidemics.

It created for his children not reigning the group which bears its name: " andriamasinavalona" - descendants of the 4 wire which did not reign. Later, the group undergoes an extension, one integrated all the parents of Andriamasinavalona into it, like all the descendants of the " rois" who made allegiance with the kingdom of Madagascar (period of Andrianampoinimerina until Ranavalona I {{Re}}.
