Mark Andrews , born the February 21st 1972 in Elliot, South Africa is a former player of Rugby to XV South-African which played with the team of South Africa since 1994 (77 selections). He played second line or third line centers (2 m and 112 kg).
It belonged to the team of South Africa world champion of Rugby in 1995. It disputed 4 matches at the time of the tournament and registers 1 test. Although it began like second line, it will play the semi-final against the France and the final against the New Zealand at the station of third line centers. They will be the two only times where it will evolve/move at this station in selection.
Mark Andrews is one of the players impossible to circumvent of the Springboks in the Nineties. Mobile, excel in key, and true leader on the ground (although he was never captain), he was one of the pillars of the selection during this period. Its number of capes testifies some: with 77 selections, it is it second line more called at Springboks. It is also before which to date, marked the most tests (12). And its international career stopped only at 29 years…
