Andrew Yao (Chinese: 姚期智; pinyin: Yáo Qīzhì) (Shanghai, December 24th 1946) is a Informaticien.
Biography
It made its First cycle university in Physique with the National university of Taiwan. It obtained a Doctorat in physics of the Université Harvard in 1972 and Informatique of the Université of Illinois with Urbana-Champaign.
It was Professor with the Université Princeton and the Université Qinghua.
Work
It used the Algorithme MinMax to prove what one names the Principe of Yao.
Honors
It received the Prix Turing in 2000 for its contributions in theory of the calculability, generation of pseudo-random numbers, Cryptographie and complexity of communication .
