Andrew Johns
Andrew " Joey" Johns is a player of Rugby to XIII Australian, born the May 19th 1974 in Kurri Kurri, Australia. He plays station of half-of-fray. He measures 1,79 m for 89 kg.
Johns is the captain of the Newcastle Knights. It represented its country at the time of two World cups and counts 21 test matches. He also played 23 matches under the colors of the News-Wales of the South in the State off Origin.
Career
After having played Cessnock of junior category, Johns signs in 1989 for Newcastle Knights. It makes its beginnings in championship in 1994.
In 1995, it is selected for played State off Origin under the colors of the Blues and to play the World cup with the Kangaroos.
In 1997, it gains the championship with Newcastle Knights. He is elected man of the match (Clive Churchill Medal) finale 2001 gained vis-a-vis the Parramatta Eels.
In 2002, Johns is captain of News-Wales of the South and Australia. Then its career is wasted by the wounds. In 2004, it is approached by the ARU (XV Australian) but it refuses by affirming that it will never pass on the obscure side.
