Biography

1981 in May, Sade Adu joined the group Funk Pride like Choriste or it meets its future Guitariste/Saxophoniste Stuart Matthewman and the future Bassiste Paul Denman and composes his first pieces which it interprets in first part of Pride with some standards of jazz ( Cry has me River or Why can' T we live Together ) under the acclamations of the public.
- 1983 the trio Sade, Stuart Matthewman, Paul Denman recruits the player of keyboard Andrew Hale and launches the group Sade which carries its first name and signs a contract with the producer of discs Epic Records
- 1984 at 24 years, it invents a new sound which it distills through its own compositions. Gathered on a superb first first album Diamond Life which returns in the Top Ten British , boosté by individual the Smooth operator and Hang one to your coils and encensée by the public and the critics. The group receives the Grammy Award of the Revelation of the Year 1984.
- 1985 it records the album Promise with individual the Never ace good ace the first time and The sweetest taboo
- 1986 it gains the Grammy Award of the Best New Artist of the Year 1986
- 1988 it signs its third album, Stronger Than Pride with the titles Paradise or Keep looking
- 1992 after four years of absence, it reappears with the album Love Deluxe which contains the hits No ordinary coils, Feel the bread and Pearls
- It marks a pause in its career to devote itself fully to its couple and with his/her child.
- 1994 it leaves Best Of, The Best off Sade, which is sold to 40 million specimens everywhere in the world
- 2000 after almost eight years of silence, and a semi-retirement in Spain, Sade returns with the new Album Lovers Rock. Its musicians Stuart Matthewman, Paul Denman and Andrew Hale took part meanwhile in other musical adventures
- 2002 it leaves an album and a live DVD Lovers Live

Its music is universal and the sale of its albums reaches tops in the whole world, of the the United States to the Japan. Paradoxically, Sade cultivates discretion and only appears very little with the one of the newspapers or on the TV screens. It spends its time with her friends, his family, her child, and keeps away from the Show-business
