Andree Yanacopoulo

Andrée Yanacopoulo is a Médecin, writer E, translator, Professor E and sociologist Québécois E born with Tunis, in Tunisia, the November 14th 1927. It was the partner of Hubert Aquin of 1963 with 1977 with which it had a son Emmanuel Aquin.

It made studies in Médecine with the Université of Lyon, France. It is established with the Quebec in 1960. Of 1961 with 1964, it is Professor E of sociology to the Université of Montreal. She teaches then with the Collège Sainte-Marie and the Université from Quebec in Montreal until in 1973 then with the Cégep of the St. Lawrence until in 1989.

In parallel, she codirige with Nicole Brossard during 6 years the collection Is delirious with the editions Parti-Pris and occupies several other stations in various editors.

She wrote one entitled book Signé Hubert Aquin: inquire into the suicide of a writer , following the death of joint sound.

She is now with the retirement.
