Andreas Köpke

Andreas Köpke is old a Football German or born the March 12th 1962 with Kiel.

Biography

After having carried out its beginnings of footballer with Holstein Kiel, it passes in 1983 by Charlottenburg, then the following year by Hertha Berlin and in 1986 it signs with the FC Nuremberg, club where it will remain until 1994. Then it joined Eintracht Frankfurt.

Member of the national team as from 1990 (he is thus crowned world champion, in its capacity as replacing guard), he gains the Euro 96 with the Germany as titular guard. This year there he is also crowned better guard of the world.

Immediately after the Euro, the Olympique of Marseilles, coldly promoted Leagues 1 of them thus makes a success of a great hit on the market of the transfers by making it sign. In Marseilles its style without ornaments, and in particular its spectacular aerial sorties tightened fists, quickly made conquer the supporters. But as from 1998, the trainer phocéen Roland Courbis Köpke place in competition with the young person Stephan Porato. More and more often relegated on the bench of key, Köpke, the OM with the winter mercato leaves. It continues its career with the FC Nuremberg in 2001 with an increase in Bundesliga.

Andreas Köpke is today the trainer of the guards of the national team of Germany, posts where it replaced Sepp Maier.
