Andreas Henricsson Berlin , botanist and explorer Swedish, born with Nora (province of Ångermanland), the May 20th 1746, and deceased in the archipelago of the islands of Los (Guinea), the June 2nd 1773.

In 1765, Andreas Berlin is registered with the Université of Uppsala. In December 1766, it defends there, in front of the naturalist Carl von Linné (1707-1778), a botanical thesis of entitled Usus muscorum and devoted to the use of the foams. In 1770, it goes to London and works there near the botanists Daniel Solander (1733-1782) and Joseph Banks (1743-1820). In 1773, it accompanies an scientific exhibition in Africa during which it dies by drowning.
