Andre of Saussay

André of Saussay , born in Paris in 1589 and died in Toul on September 9th, 1675 was bishop of Toul of 1655 to 1675.

This former student of the Jésuite S contributed to the installation in his diocese of the Chartreux, of the Prémontrés, the Bénédictins of the Blessed Sacrament and the Sœurs of Saint-Charles. It is him also which introduced in Rome, the cause of beatification of Saint Pierre Fourier.
