Andre de Montbard
André de Montbard (1103 - 1156) is the fifth Master of the Ordre of the Temple, function which he exerts of 1153 to the January 17th 1156. When he is elected it is one of the oldest members of the order since he belongs to the new founders. He is the uncle of Bernard de Clairvaux. Seneshal about 1148 with 1151 it is elected undoubtedly in opposition to another supported candidate by the King de France Louis VII. The date of its election is dubious but undoubtedly intervenes at the end of 1154 although the first mention of its new function is dated from the May 27th 1155 in an act of the king de Jérusalem Baudouin III. Bertrand de Blanquefort succeeds the same year to him.
