Andre Vallerand

André Vallerand (Quebec, June 9th, 1940 -) is a economist politician Québécois. He was the liberal Député of Crémazie to the National Assembly of Quebec of 1985 with 1994. He occupied several stations ministerial in the governments of Robert Bourassa and Daniel Johnson (wire)

Born with Quebec, on June 9th, 1940, Mr. Vallerand continues studies in economy with the Université Concordia of Montreal, where it will obtain a baccalaureat and a control in 1970.

In the years 1970, he is economist-consultant and part-time lecturer in universities. It enters then to the service of the firm of consulting engineer SNC and becomes managing director of one of his subsidiary companies, specialized in the field of the technical formaton.

It enters in policy at the time of the Québécois general election of 1985 and becomes successively deputy secretary with the Small and medium-size companies (1985 - 1988), deputy secretary with the international Businesses (1988), Minister for the Provisioning and Services (1988 - 1989) and Minister for Tourism (1989-1994) in the second government of Robert Bourassa. It also occupied the post of minister of the Income in the government of Daniel Johnson (wire) in 1994.

Of 1998 with 2007, he is the president director-general of the Institute canaadien tourism and e-business. Since February 2007, he is president of the World center of Excellence of the Destinations.
