Andre Savignon
Fernand Eugene André Savignon (born with Tarbes on January 1st 1878 - died with London 10 January 1947) is a Journaliste and a writer French.
André Savignon was born Tarbes in the house of Esparbès de Lussan, located 5, place de la Préfecture.
He accomplishes many stays in England with Plymouth, in particular of 1908 with 1914. After the armistice of 1918, it settles with Saint-Malo.
It was sent many times in England by the newspapers for which it worked. It was there when the Second world war burst and it had to remain there.
Writer, it obtained the Prix Goncourt in 1912 for his novel " Girls of the pluie" , published with the Editions Grasset. It obtained this price by six votes against five with Julien Benda.
André Savignon was Chevalier of the Légion of honor.
The January 10th 1947, it dies at the French hospital of London following a pneumonia. It is buried in the small cemetery of Rosais on banks of the Rance to Saint-Servan.
He had married Marie-Josèphe Monzelun the July 29th 1902 in Paris then Berthe Desgranges the September 27th 1919 with Ambérac. It remained without descent.
