Andre Piganiol , born the January 17th 1883 with the Harbor and dead the May 24th 1968, is a Archéologue and Historien French, specialist in the Roman history .

Raise National university and member of the French École of Rome (1906-1909), it is professor with the Université of Strasbourg in 1919, then with the Sorbonne in 1928 and with the Collège de France in 1942. He is elected member of the Académie of the inscriptions and the humanities in 1945.
